New Houseboats

The Turner Marine houseboats are NSW Maritime approved.

The company's building system starts with a set of steel pontoons, sandblasted and coated with marine epoxy paint.

The pontoons are constructed to any size, depending on the overall length and weight of the proposed boat. For bigger boats, the pontoon size is 1500x1200 and 19m and 21m in length.

The cabin of the boat is constructed on a solid platform, using both steel and fibreglass to help create the form and shape of the boat. The top deck and side panels are coated with fibreglass and shaped to create a stylish and modern finish. Big windows help create a feeling of space and freedom. The overall appearance of the boat is developed with the objectives of the owner in mind.

The Turners have selected the Yamaha range of four-stroke, high thrust outboards to power their houseboats. The fuel injected 60hp motors ensure reliability, high performance, sure starting and smooth operation. In brief, they are ideal for houseboat operation.

The 240volt power supply is provided by a 9kva Kohler diesel generator.

Air cooling is provided by an evaporative air cooler or, if you wish, reverse cycle units.
